Szilvia creates from a song in her heart and a profound appreciation for interrelationships in nature. When looking at her pictures, it is as if the flowers and trees are also intriguing storybook characters that have deep conversations with each other. Her favorite mediums are acrylic paint and colored pencils.
Szilvia’s love of art and respect for architecture led her to a career in interior design. She graduated from the Hungarian College of Art and Science as well as receiving a diploma in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College (SCC) in Arizona. The classes which inspired her the most were Drawing, Rendering, and Architectural Drafting.
Starting as far back as her early childhood in Hungary, Szilvia’s life-long love affair with artistic endeavors blossomed. She was inspired by her surroundings encompassing stunning vistas of lakes, forest, and especially her grandma’s garden.
Szilvia likes to tell a story through her artwork, especially imaginary tales that draw the viewer deep into a picture, whether a small delicate ornament or a giant wall mural. For example, her wall murals and storybook illustrations are bright, vibrant, and colorful – challenging the reader to examine the characters and sub-plots in detail.
And SzilVia’s interior design projects reflect the personalities of her clients while connecting interiors to the wonders of the outdoors. Szilvia’s pictures capture a tender moment while challenging the viewer to be creative themselves. Even though she has an international background, she is currently based in Central Texas.
